It’s Just a Body Now

Short Film

Rick thinks he can get away with murder…

Some regrets are unforgivable

Rick has a dark secret that no one knows, and no one is left alive that knows Cassy, she was just a hitch-hiker without a family.

Now, she’s just a body.

Three months events unfolded, Rick finds his haunting memories have taken a new life from beyond the grave.

It’s Just a Body Now is a short film that was completed in 240 hours, from idea to upload. The concept came from a song By Islands called Vertigo. The specific lyric, “Dig that ditch, ditch that dirt, it’s just a body now.” lead me to think (under the veil of Halloween) of all the possibilities. While a suspenseful horroresque film, there is a greater point which is the crime of rape. In my opinion, one of the worst crimes imaginable because it often leaves the living alive and wishing they were not.

Also, check out the new song by Johnny B. “Left Me Cold” featured on the soundtrack, 7 bodies
